the wind doth blow

An orchestra played outside today
Wind conducted the show
Waved and whirled at Creek
Until she yielded
To a burbling rippling affair with him.

Then Pine, Poplar, Birch,
Hickory, Apple, Locust, and Spruce
Rustled, creaked, groaned, tinkled, and shook
The first and last in dark green threads sweetly spicy
The others all naked, bare out in the open.

The force of the crescendo
Blew Chickadees hither and thither
In a flurry of feathers amidst a gale
Made visible by Pond
Who mirrored the finale!
Encore!
