Springsong

Everyday the songbird came
Pecking her head and calling her name,
Wake up wake up you’ve gathered dust
Wake up wake up it’s spring you must!

Day after day she lay asleep
Day after day dreaming long and deep
Until the day dust flew up her nose
And on that day she sneezing rose.

Come little bird, my good friend true
It’s time to go we’ve work to do!
The fields are ready the days grow long
These seeds for peace we’ll plant in song!

And so she walks while the songbird flies
Do you see them on the earth, hear them in the skies?
